In our group in the SOS Children's Village in Brandenburg, children and young people live from the sixth year of life, who cannot live in their families of origin in the medium or long term. Our interdisciplinary team offers them a reliable, protected and family-like place of life. Our living groups and families live in their own house, which offers space for individuality and community life. The spacious terrain of our children's village with many green areas, a Bolzplatz and two playgrounds creates a variety of possibilities for movement, encounter, retreat and child-friendly growth.

Your tasks include: As part of a dedicated six-member team, you will accompany and serve up to eight children and young people aged 6 to 18 years and together with them create a safe and reliable everyday life With a trauma-sensitive attitude and deescaling methods, you give young people orientation and stability and open up individual development and development opportunities. With your pedagogical expertise, empathy and a resource-oriented attitude, you take into account the individual needs and strengths of children and young people and support them on their personal path of development. You actively contribute your observations and technical assessments to education and assistance planning and develop sustainable perspectives together with young people. As a team coordinator*in, you coordinate the team's collaboration, guide and structure team meetings and ensure a transparent and need-oriented task distribution. You create a reliable service and holiday planning oriented to the needs of the housing group and promote a good flow of information between the team and the area management. You design the cooperation with parents and source systems respectfully, transparently and solution-oriented and maintain a trusted cooperation with schools, doctors, therapists and other helpers and support systems. You take care of the necessary pedagogical documentation and reporting. Together with the management and your colleagues, you will participate in the professional development of the pedagogical work and take part in internal specialist bodies of the institution. The principles of child protection and care protection are carefully, conscientiously and responsibly implemented in everyday pedagogy.

You have a completed study of social education or a completed training as an educator or a comparable recognised educational qualification. You bring at least three years of professional experience in pedagogical work with children, young people or young adults – ideally in the stationary area. You like to work in the team and want to take responsibility, give orientation and coordinate joint processes reliably. Organisational tasks are yours and you work structured, independent and responsible. Even in challenging situations, you will be able to take a look at the needs of children and adolescents and reflect your own pedagogical action. Flexibility, reliability and a pronounced ability to self-reflection are your professional self-conception. Children, adolescents and their parents or systems of origin meet with appreciation, genuine interest and an attitude of understanding. You design closeness and distance to the supervised young people consciously and professionally while respecting clear and reliable limits. You have a class B licence.
