Actuary / Mathematician Natural Disaster Modelling

You develop and use mathematical / geophysical models to realistically assess the effects of natural catastrophes and other damages and to create fun risk analyses. You derive from model and damage data the finan­cial consequences of extreme events and also evaluate risks that are difficult to secure. You support the transfer of reinsurance risks to investors, such as Cat Bonds or Portfolio Transfers. You will continue to improve our assessment logics and risk control methods. You work closely with internal and external investment, underwriting and risk experts:inside to model results, loss assumptions and capital market-relevant parameters.

Successfully completed studies of mathematics, physics or a comparable science Multiannual professional experience, e.g. as a Mathematician:in or Actuary:in risk modelling / natural disaster modelling in first or reverse insurance Programming skills, e.g. in R, Python or comparable languages Secure handling of data banks and SQL Negotiating knowledge of German and English: You are open to the point. You know how to calmly and in vain situations and do not let you get out of the concept. You'll get input to get complex topics – if you're inconsistencies, you'll talk to them. You clearly distinguish between important facts and incidental information. You may not meet all the requirements mentioned, but you will understand your expertise.
