W2 Professorship in Health Education for the Medical Technology Professions (m/f/d)

The university has a variety of cooperations with universities and research institutes such as Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes and Companies, whose intensification and expansion is desirable. An active participation in the research activities of the university is desired. In this context, we aim to increase third-party funding and increase the number of cooperative promotions. We represent a support concept that requires a high presence of teachers at the university location.

We are looking for a personality with a completed university degree in health education, medical education, nursing education or a related subject of education with the focus on medicine/health. The special ability to scientific work is usually demonstrated by a qualified doctorate. We also expect at least five years of professional practice, of which at least three years of practical experience in the field of pedagogy. Practical experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Teaching in higher education in the last five years Digital University Teaching Online Presence Course Teaching experience in healthcare Teaching experience in vocational education Own activity in a health profession Teaching and learning research with focus on digital teaching, vocational education, health education, medical education or closely related areas Successful recruitment of third-party or public funding The subject areas are represented both in teaching and in applied research. We naturally require very good educational skills as well as the willingness to participate in exchange with our international partner universities and offer courses in English. In addition, we expect dedicated participation in teaching in basic subjects and, if necessary, in lectures in professionally adjacent areas. We expect the applicant to integrate himself professionally and personally well into the existing team, to engage in the academic self-governing of our university and to enjoy the communication of knowledge from their own professional experience to students. German knowledge (at least at level C1) and English knowledge are assumed. The recruitment requirements for professors are laid down in Section 49 of the German Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
