Your home area ''Production Component'' specializes in the production of key components for the drivetrain of trucks. Our focus is on the production of internal combustion engines, the assembly of batteries and the production of other essential components for the entire company. By using state-of-the-art technologies and innovative methods, we ensure the high quality and efficiency of our products. As part of your doctorate, you will be intensively engaged in the analysis and processing of production data to develop innovative approaches to optimizing the operation and maintenance of production machines. A special focus is on the design and implementation of AI-supported solutions that sustainably improve both infrastructure and production processes. You work closely with various specialist departments to translate practical requirements into scientific questions and to bring research results into industrial application. You will gain deep insights into modern technologies such as edge computing, IoT and industrial AI and contribute to the development of digital production systems through your work. This research work is a cooperation project with the University of Munich, which also takes place as a scientific assistant, with the possibility of doctoral studies.

Qualifications: Good Master's degree in production technology, information technology, business informatics, automation technology or related courses Good knowledge of German and English Interest in scientific work with high application reference Experience in production, data science, statistical modelling and machine learning Edge computing, IoT or industrial IT Programming skills in Python Use of SQL databases Experience in using AWS
