The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Saxony is a combination of differentiated offers of child and youth assistance at the locations Zwickau and Leipzig. In addition to stationary help for young people in the form of housing groups and children's village families, we are engaged in preventive offers for children, young people, families and people in the social area. For our SOS-Kinderdorf Sachsen at the Leipzig site we are looking for a 01.03.2026 Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (30 hours/Where)

In our newly created, educational-therapeutically oriented group of girls at the SOS Children's Village in Leipzig, you play a central professional role as a psychological specialist service. You support up to eight girls from an age of six in challenging situations of life and with complex help requirements, and provide advice and professional support to the educational team. Their use is done without group service and without interlayer work and allows you to concentrate, continuous psychological work in close cooperation with the team. You carry out appropriate procedures with children and adolescents to cope with past and biographical burdens and to promote holistic development. You offer individual case and group work. You involve important reference persons, the system of origin of young people and, if necessary, accompany the contacts/transitions. You support the successful implementation of the funding and therapy plans of young people. You ensure professional contact and exchange with treating physicians, therapists and clinics and, if necessary, provide further therapeutic measures. You advise our educational professionals in the housing groups and help create a trauma-sensitive, sustainable environment. You produce the multi-professional view of young people in case-consultations and team meetings and train the educational team on needs-oriented topics. You support crisis management and always act in the sense of protection of children and responsibilities.

You have a completed study of psychology (Master/Diplom) with additional qualification in the field of therapy/consultation. Further training in the field of therapy in childhood and youth age, trauma education or systemic therapy is advantageous. Ideally, you have professional experience in working with traumatized children and young people affected by violence You bring an appreciation and resource-oriented view of the whole family and stand for a professional approach to proximity and distance. You take responsibility and keep an overview in challenging situations. You bring the willingness to work mainly in the afternoon/early evening (after school visit). Dealing with the current MS Office applications is just as necessary as a class B licence.
