Foundry Engineer (f/m/d) Investment Casting

The foundry engineer is responsible for the continuous development and optimization of foundry processes with the aim of achieving excellent process stability, cost-effectiveness and product quality. A special focus is on the analytical approach, the use of modern methods such as Design of Experiments (DoE) and the transfer of new products from pattern status to stable series production. Analysis of existing casting processes with the aim of increasing efficiency (quality, costs) Technical support for new approaches – from the first sampling to the standard maturity Application of analytical methods (e.g. DoE, statistical process control, root cause analysis) Cooperation in the development of new castings with the aim of ensuring the production capability, repeatability and cost-effectiveness Close coordination with materials technology, quality assurance, construction, production and external partners

Successfully completed studies in the field of foundry technology, materials technology or metallurgy. first professional experience in industrial foundry practice, ideal in fine casting or vacuum casting technology. Ideally, first practical experience in regulated and demanding industries such as aerospace, energy/turbine construction, defence technology or automotive. Knowledge of foundry-specific manufacturing technologies and materials. Safe handling of analysis tools and methods for process improvement (e.g. DoE, Six Sigma, FMEA). Embossed analytical thinking, structured working and high quality standards. Communication strength and team capacity in interdisciplinary project teams.
