The Department of Internal Medicine – Cardiology and Conservative Intensive Medicine consists of a cardiological station with attached Chest Pain Unit and a conservative intensive care unit. The clinic is involved in the medical occupation of an emergency medical service vehicle of the Berlin fire brigade in the Friedrichshain district. The Conservative Intensive Care Unit is recognized as a certified Cardiac Arrest Center and offers the complete range of intensive medical procedures – including ECMO therapy. All modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods are available in the cardiological functional range. 24-hour readiness to supply acute coronary syndromes ensures the continuous supply of cardiological emergencies.
