As a strategic buyer (m/w/d), you can control and optimize your assigned product groups at the end-to-end - from the development of the purchasing strategy to the negotiation of global framework contracts to active risk management in the supply chain. In doing so, you can run professional buyers and purchasing teams and work closely with interface partners throughout the group. Risk Management: Detection and Minimisation of Risks in the Supply Chain by Establishing Second Sources (2nd Sources) or Introduction of a Resilience Strategy (Notfall Plan) Professional leadership of buyers and purchasing teams incl. Development and creation of binding requirements for strategic purchasing Control and continuous optimization of the assigned product groups as well as development and implementation of purchasing strategies incl. Identification and evaluation of innovations in the product group Creation of scale effects in the Rheinmetall Group by incorporating other Subsidiaries in procurement procedures, implementation of needs analyses with demand providers and independent production and coordination of group-relevant key figures Preparation and leadership of global framework and contract negotiations and Supplier selection in coordination with interface partners (e.g. Legal, Development, Treasury) Active search, development and management of strategically relevant suppliers as well as implementation of process improvements in cooperation with suppliers, support in the enforcement of claims and initiation of compensation measures as well as cross-disciplinary cooperation with the value management team for price validation in monopoly situations House-specific adaptation and application of modern negotiation concepts as well as cost optimisation methods (e.g. cost structure, MLPP or LPP analyses), creation of global market forecasts and procurement market analyses, as well as implementation of tenders and offer comparisons under Total Cost-of-Ownership aspects

Completed university degree (Master/Diplom) or comparable qualification acquired on a different basis Long-term professional experience in the field as well as appropriate training Good computer skills (SAP, MS Office) Negotiation skills based on experienced negotiation situations and knowledge in contractual law (BGB, HGB) English knowledge in word and writing Embossed technical understanding and pronounced intercultural competence Global readiness
