We are looking for a full time (39.83 hours/week = 100 %) at the next time Lead Transfer Manager (m/w/d) – Cybersecurity, Innovation & Startups. The Horst-Görtz Institute for IT Security (HGI) is one of the leading centres for cybersecurity research in Europe. With the CASA Cluster of Excellence, the largest training programme in Europe and an impressive track record on well-established startups, we actively shape the digital future. With our founding incubator CUBE 5 we support visionary deep-tech teams from the first idea. You connect ambitious founders, venture capitalists, business angels and industrial partners to make innovations a reality together. In CUBE 5, the complete development cycle of a start-up – before, during and after the foundation – is supported. This begins with the discovery of ideas and extends through technological development to market maturity. The aim is to enable students and doctoral students to pursue and implement innovative ideas in their own initiative. Head of the project is Prof. Dr. Christof Paar. For our growing transfer team, we are looking for you at the next possible time – a personality with skills for lateral guidance, which strategically thinks, starts up and loves the energy of a startup ecosystem. We are looking for a “Lead Transfer Manager” (m/w/d) for the coordination and lateral management of the transfer area in the office of the Horst-Görtz Institute for IT Security at the next time in full time (39.83 hours/week = 100 %). The job is limited to two years. Long-term employment will be pursued.

Lateral leadership of the team Transfer: coordination, strategy development, impulse generator*in for new formats, support of the advisory board, reporting to the management HGI as well as the spokesman / spokesman of the HGI Project management for CUBE 5 and the 6GEMCubator, including project coordination and reporting Promoting entrepreneurship – coordinating support programmes for startups and founding teams Creating curiosity – Conception and implementation of inspiring events for founders, exchange with researchers and students Living networks – Active exchange with our ecosystem from startups, Venture Capital Funds & Business Angels, Industry & Politics – locally and internationally Win talents – Develop outreach and scouting programs for future ITSecurity students Secure the Future – Promoting Alumni Work, Fundraising and Partner Recovery

Successfully completed university studies (master or university diploma), desirable in the field of IT security, computer science or electrical engineering as well as economic, human or social sciences Enthusiasm for innovation, startups and IT security – ideally with its own first founding or lateral leadership experience Entrepreneurial thinking, hand-on mentality and organizational talent Enthusiasm for networks, willingness to participate in relevant events (in exceptional cases also in the evening hours) Affinity for startups and IT security, as well as the placement of technical content Remarkable: First knowledge of the IT security ecosystem in Bochum/within the Ruhr area Remarkable: Experience in consulting on business topics Remarkable: Experience in third-party applications Very good communication skills (in German and English) in word and writing
