The Horst-Görtz Institute for IT Security (HGI) is one of the leading centres for cybersecurity research in Europe. With the CASA Cluster of Excellence, the largest training programme in Europe and an impressive track record on well-established startups, we actively shape the digital future. With our founding incubator CUBE 5 we support visionary deep-tech teams from the first idea. You connect ambitious founders, venture capitalists, business angels and industrial partners to make innovations a reality together. In CUBE 5, the complete development cycle of a start-up – before, during and after the foundation – is supported. This begins with the discovery of ideas and extends through technological development to market maturity. The aim is to enable students and doctoral students to pursue and implement innovative ideas in their own initiative. Head of the project is Prof. Dr. Christof Paar.
