Responsibility for system design, analysis and optimization of optical communication systems Implementation of end-to-end system analyses, design reviews and technical reviews Design of optical systems (e.g. beam shaping, relay optics) with Zemax OpticStudio (sequential & non-sequential) Conducting tolerance analyses and Monte Carlo simulations Development of alignment, test and verification concepts for optical systems Construction and operation of optical test benches and analysis of relevant performance parameters Close cooperation with optical, mechanical and technical teams Creation of technical specifications and support in supplier management Accompanying integration, testing and validation to standard maturity Analysis and evaluation of system performance to support design decisions

Complete studies in the field of optics, photonics, physics or comparable Multiannual experience (approx. +7) in the development and validation of optical systems Deep, practical knowledge in Zemax OpticStudio (including tolerance analyses) Experience in system engineering of complex optical systems, ideally in demanding applications Knowledge found in laser optics and beam propagation Practical experience in adjustment, testing and verification of optical systems Experience in building reproducible test methods and technical documentation Structured, analytical and solution-oriented operation Teamability and strong communication skills in the interdisciplinary environment Very good knowledge of German and English Technologically challenging projects in the high-end optics environment High design space and responsibility at system level
