As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Head of Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) from now on and in full time preferred in Bonn or Cologne, alternatively nationwide at one of our BWI locations. As part of the IT-Security Competence Center, the Cyber Defense Center as the central cyber security unit of BWI ensures the resilience of the infrastructures of our country. The BWI Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT BWI) collects and evaluates our own IT security situation as well as our customers. In order to be able to effectively counter cyber attacks even in crisis scenarios, the CERT BWI takes appropriate precautions for the Cyber Defense Center and the BWI.

Discipline of the CERT BWI and advice on the management of the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) incl. Responsibility for costs Responsibility for the further development of skills in the contexts of the CDC (e.g. 24/7 shift operation), Cyber Threat Management, evaluation of the IT security situation, information security indicators, Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS2) and crisis scenarios to a national defense Control of the necessary measures to harmonize the civil and military operations of the CDC with those of the Cyber Security Operations Centre of the Bundeswehr (CSOCBw) Representation of the BWI as a member of the communities FIRST, TF-CSIRT/Trusted Introducer, CERT Association etc.

A successfully completed, IT-related study and at least 10 years relevant professional experience Multiannual, practical experience in managing and developing a CERT, SOC, IT security teams or think tank with IT security specialization in complex organizations Existing networks at the level of German security authorities and organisations, ideally Bundeswehr and BMVg, as an alternative to established CERT communities are desirable. Detectable, comprehensive understanding of current cyber security strategies (Zero Trust, BSI Basic Protection, ISO27000, Privileged Access Management etc.) Proven capabilities in dealing with crisis communication combined with a high ability to change and decide Strong strategic and analytical skills for the development and optimization of the CERT BWI department Exceptional communicative skills, including the ability to present complex technical problems at the highest level of the company and the customer German and English skills Ready for business trips
