· You take over the management for a department with the three heterogeneous fields of activity youth, school, staff and organization. The department is structured in three departments and 15 specialist services. There is a direct line of reference to the Mayor. As an electoral officer, you act in the interplay of local politics and administration. · Your central management tasks include the compensation between educational requirements, financial possibilities, structural capacities, human resources and political requirements. With strategic competence, implementation strength and political sensitivity, you harmonize structures and processes and create the conditions for a powerful and efficient organizational and administrative structure in your department. · In the personnel and organization sector, you take on a coordinating and targeted role between administration leaders, departments, politics and personal services. You ensure the implementation and acceptance of a future-oriented staff management. The focus is on the acquisition, binding and development of qualified employees, the further development of a modern management and corporate culture, the digitization of processes and services in the organization, the strengthening of employer attractiveness and the implementation of new forms of work and organisation. · In the school sector, your teams are driving forward the framework concept for the whole day, school development planning, digitization, renovation and new building of schools, inclusion and integration topics. In the field of youth assistance, the beginning of the social space orientation and the efficient orientation of the action must continue, strengthen prevention and develop cooperation between youth assistance, schools and other partners. · You are responsible for the “contractually” shaped and at the same time team-oriented leadership and further development of employees. You ensure the necessary and forward-looking skills and competencies of the employees and promote an enterprise culture oriented towards their own initiative, innovation, service orientation and participation through an open and communicative management style. · You act in close, partnership-based coordination with various stakeholders such as school management, parental representation, the Landkreis Göttingen, the Land Niedersachsen, the building management and political bodies. · With political sense, social sensitivity and target group-specific communication, you represent the position of the city of Göttingen on external and internal platforms towards politics, administration and the public.

· You have proven that You have a completed academic degree (Magister Artium, University Diploma or Master) in a social, spiritual, legal, economic or administrative degree course. · You look back on a multiannual professional and leadership experience with comprehensive personnel, organizational and budget responsibility in a complex organization, ideally in the public sector or in a comparable socially influenced environment. · Ideally, you have well-founded experiences in at least one of the three topics, and at the same time you have the ability to strategically combine different professional perspectives. · You have well-founded experience in controlling demanding organisational and change processes, have already successfully managed transformation, modernization or organizational development projects. · You have a strong understanding of municipal/public decision-making processes, are an integral, design-friendly leadership personality with diplomatic sense, persuasiveness and sovereign appearance. · Their communication and negotiation strength is as pronounced as your professional cooperation with political bodies, mandate holders and other actors. · With analytically conceptual competence, you systematically follow the organisational objectives and implement them in a solution-oriented and sustainable manner. · You convince with strategic vision, consistent implementation strength and a modern understanding of leadership.
