As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

The PoD1 Applications (App) section supports our customers and their business processes with tailor-made solutions that are oriented towards the digital transformation and mobilization of the working world. We provide all services / services of a future-oriented application management, which includes both application development and application operation. We develop applications based on standardized enterprise solutions for several thousand users, which are individually modified and adapted by us according to customer requirements (Commercial of the Shelf / Modified of the Shelf). These include web sites, portals, wikis, form and learning management systems and other business applications based on web technologies. In the field of data-centered projects, we cover the entire spectrum from testing the latest scientific findings from the research fields AI and data science, to implementing modern, data-driven systems. This includes data science, AI & machine learning. In addition to the development services, we also purchase and maintain commercial of the Shelf applications available on the market in customer order, provided they meet the customer's requirements/business need. We operate and answer applications end-to-end on the Internet, Intranet and Extranet.

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the IT field or comparable qualifying training
• You have about 8 years of experience as an IT architect in complex implementation projects as well as experience in professional leadership and in agile ways of working and thinking
• You are experienced in the design of modern IT landscapes (Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices) and brings know-how in the integration of AI solutions and LLMs in application landscapes as well as in GitOps and CI/CD workflows with
• You master the methods of software development, requirements engineering and project management standards, ITIL certification
• You have a well-founded knowledge of web technologies and business applications as well as are safe to handle design patterns and modern architecture and applications. Application frameworks
• Considering IT security standards is an integral part of any solution design and concept development
• You are a team player with analytical thinking, good communication and organizational skills, target orientation and decision and implementation strength
• You have knowledge of German and good knowledge of English

Your tasks:

• You are responsible for the creation and continuous development of technical architecture concepts for complex solutions in the field of application management with special attention to cloud native structures, Kubernetes and the integration of AI/LLM services
• You control the development, integration and deployment (CI/CD, GitOps) of services and take over the professional leadership of developer teams
• As a responsible service architect for several customer solutions, you secure the design according to ITIL standards and act as a link between service management, operations and development
• You use and optimise modern application development methods, monitor their consistent implementation and ensure quality throughout the lifecycle
• You coordinate the creation and updating of technical and security concepts and ensure that the architectures meet all compliance and security requirements
• You actively support problem, test and change management to ensure a smooth transition from the project to the plant (Application Management)
• You actively support other roles in the team in creating performance descriptions and accompany the entire offer and award process through sound technical expertise
