IT network administrator (m/f/d)

You manage the virtualization environment (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper‐V, KVM). You plan capacities, ensure high availability and develop disaster recovery strategies. You plan, test and roll out patches and updates time-controlled. You coordinate change and release processes with the departments, monitor patch status, evaluate risks and document all executions. You implement, configure and monitor the central antivirus/EDR solution. You respond to security alerts, conduct health checks and ensure compliance. You design and operate the backup solution, perform restore tests and document the processes. You plan and implement data center projects (servers, storage, network, cooling, energy efficiency). You standardize, automate, document and optimize operating processes. You serve the SOC team and implement security policies. You work closely with the Security Operations Center for incidents and alarms. You manage telephone systems, maintain phone numbers and integrate the telephone system into our IT services. You create technical documentation, SOPs and Process Maps. You work closely with IT departments, support teams and external service providers.

You have a degree in computer science and/or IT-related training (e.g. specialist system integration or IT system electronics) and relevant professional experience. You bring multi-year practice into IT infrastructure topics, in particular: virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, possibly KVM) Patch Management (WSUS/SCCM/Intune/Ansible or Similar Tools) Central antivirus/EDR solution backup and recovery solutions as well as storage management in the network Data center operation (server, storage, network infrastructure) SOC/Security environment, Incident Response, Security Policy creation Telephone system administration (IP telephony)

You have sound knowledge in Windows/Linux server operation, network technology and monitoring and ideally bring automation know-how (PowerShell, Bash, possibly Python). You have very good German knowledge in word and writing; good to very good English knowledge. You work analytically, structured, show high service orientation, team skills and communication strength.

The Dresden Chamber of Crafts is oriented towards remuneration, holiday entitlements and pension provision at the TVöD. Working hours can be flexibly designed in the context of the current working time regulations. There is a bistro and free parking at the Dresden site.
