Job description

Robotron develops database-based software applications and specialist information systems for public administration. Our goal is to design and implement applications and specialist information systems that allow our customers to experience the Joy of Use daily and work successfully in the long term!

Your job as an application administrator is to support the IT system landscape directly on site at one of our long-term regular customers in Dresden. In cooperation with our customer's data center team, you ensure a high availability of an ORACLE technology-based application developed and maintained together with Robotron.

In the sense of our regular customer, you are highly motivated to find optimal and high-quality solutions for different requirements and thus contribute to a sustainable bond.

As a team player, you are able and willing to integrate yourself into the existing team of experts and work in it in the long term.

That's what you expect:

• Server-side administration of a complex, highly available application with several thousand users under Oracle and Linux
• Services in the IT infrastructure environment with special emphasis on Oracle databases
• Close cooperation with the development team with the aim of detecting and correcting fault conditions or performance bottlenecks in the application at an early stage.
• Monitoring the application
• Maintenance and maintenance of the runtime environment

That's what you bring:

• Completion of a (economic) computer science study or vocational training as a specialist
• knowledge and practical experience in managing databases.
• Practical experience with Linux operating system
• readiness for systematic incorporation in a complex application
• Interest in working in a constantly changing IT infrastructure environment
• strong customer orientation, communication and team skills
• readiness to carry out the safety review
• knowledge of the monitoring with Grafana, container visualization with Docker and Kubernetes as well as deployments with Ansible are desirable
