As a system engineer database administration, you are responsible for the operation and further development of your customer's data center environment. In addition, you will work with the latest trends and technologies and implement them directly with your local or remote customer, e.g. from home. Your tasks You manage and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases You install, configure and maintain database systems You develop and implement backup and recovery strategies You take care of performance tuning and troubleshooting You create scripts to automate tasks and work with other IT teams to ensure database integrity and security.

Your profile Completed training or study of computer science, information technology or a related area Professional experience in managing Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases as well as sound knowledge in SQL and PL/pgSQL Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, scripting (e.g. Bash, Python) and ideally with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform Structured and independent working and communication strength and team capacity Customer orientation, flexibility and readiness to travel
