Number: MER0003ONN The PHEV team is responsible for the agility and comfort of driving a Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrid. This includes the purely electric drive, the hybrid drive and the shutdown of the internal combustion engine. The complex interaction of the various system components in the drive train is regulated by various software functions in a central control unit. In addition to vehicle tests, software-in-the-loop (SiL) test stands are also used to optimize and validate these functions. This requires a real simulation of the hardware system components in the SiL. The aim of the work is to implement the SiL models of the system components in the various plug-in drives in a realistic manner for various driving situations. These challenges come to you. Comparison of the behaviour of the system components in the SiL and in the vehicle in various driving situations Analysis of the physical influencing factors of the components on the system behavior Analysis of possible situation-dependent disturbance variables Implementation of results in existing SiL models The final work can start from August 2025. The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.
