Head of IT Competence Center Data Preparation and Standards of Software Development (m/f/d)

You conduct and control a unit with currently 24 employees and 5 speakers. With your leadership expert, you will design the organizational development of the unit and its tasks with regard to contemporary methods for SW development and deployment.

With your expertise in software development and system integration (including finished software products), you can support the technical processes in the Federal Statistical Office and the Statistical Association.

You design the software landscape for data processing as part of an IT overall architecture “state of the art”.

You are responsible for the implementation of projects in your unit and the ongoing product care.

The cooperation with external service providers in the area of responsibility is controlled by you.

The Federal Statistical Office is represented by you in the area of responsibility both nationally and internationally.

Completed scientific studies (Master/Diplom-Uni/Magister) of a study in the field of computer science or Business informatics and other MINT courses In addition, a multiannual (at least two years) adequate professional experience in the field of SW development and integration, experience in the implementation and support of change and transformation processes, corresponding to the qualification (e.g. Master/Dipl.-Uni/Magister), proven experience in controlling complex software development projects up to their introduction, practical experience in implementing modern software development standards, profound knowledge in object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java) as well as the design of different software architectures, professional experience in different areas of work (use width) is advantageous, Ability to manage, motivate and manage employees – also over spatial distance – as well as ability to lead agile teams, knowledge and skills relevant to the activity of information security.
