A task challenged.

As a Category Manager, you are responsible for performing strategic and tactical purchasing activities and supported as constructive Sparring Partner of the Supply Chain Project teams.

· You conduct tactical shopping processes (bedarfs/market analysis, Information requests, invitations to tender, negotiations, contract design as well as supplier and contract implementation) in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

· You manage the supplier market with regard to procurement risks and opening up new and competitive sources of procurement.

· You support the definition and implementation of purchasing strategy taking into account regional requirements and Needs.

· You coordinate procurement activities between project teams and International and Regional Category Managers.

· You make your contribution to achieving the identified Value-added and savings targets through implementation and use appropriate value levers including the implementation of developed Measures and tools for cost and value optimization.

· You measure and monitor the performance of our suppliers appropriate indicators and discuss results and developments regularly with your “key supplier”.

· You enter and support the stakeholders in creating functional and technical requirements (e.g. verification of specifications), contract implementation, contract management and other suppliers-related topics.
