GASCADE is one of the largest operators of gas pipelines in Germany with a 3,700 kilometres long pipeline network. In order to strengthen our specialist area “Network Development and Participation Management” we are looking for a co-worker (m/w/d) at the Kassel site for two years at the next time as part of a parental leave office.

You analyze market, supply and demand structures in the natural gas and hydrogen market using energy market simulations. You are responsible for the selection, control and professional support of external model providers. You conduct specific recommendations for action as well as sound basis for decision-making for strategic questions. You prepare analytical results in a comprehensible way and present them convincingly before internal and external stakeholders. You contribute to the development of scenarios and modeling approaches in national and European working groups.

You have a successfully completed study of engineering, economics, mathematics, computer science, physics or a comparable subject. You ideally bring together first experiences in the field of energy market simulation, energy system analysis or energy-economic modelling. You are interested in the developments in natural gas and hydrogen management. You can safely handle data analysis and evaluations, for example with Excel, Power BI or Python. You are characterized by pronounced analytical skills and a structured and solution-oriented way of working. You have very good knowledge of German and English, convince with their communication strength and are happy to work with different specialist areas as well as external partners.
