You use and expand your resilient network for multilateral and bilateral development financers (DFIs) such as IFC, EIB, KfW or the World Bank – focusing on renewable energy, hydrogen and infrastructure projects. You strengthen the visibility and reputation of ENERTRAG by designing and implementing corporate presentations, pitches and participating in conferences. In addition, you develop and advise a well-founded market analysis of relevant financial instruments and institutions and conduct strategic fields of action and project priorities. You continuously test the market and transaction performance and actively contribute current developments to the ENERTRAG project and financing strategy. You work closely with internal project and country management, identify financing needs and ensure that DFI-bankable projects are structured together with the finance department. In addition, you develop tailor-made strategies for combining funding, DFI and private financing – tailored to the respective project needs. You are responsible for the entire fundraising cycle with DFIs – from speech and application creation to the creation of pitch documents to negotiations and financial close. You are structuring autonomous financing models and negotiating all the key contractual conditions with DFI investors – with the aim of ensuring optimal financing solutions for the project development and implementation phase.

You have a degree in economics, finance, engineering or related fields. You have at least 8 years of professional experience in working with development financers (DFIs), ideally in a leading role in financing structuring or project transactions – on the company, consultant or DFI side. In addition, you will bring up detectable transaction experience, in particular for large projects (EUR 250 million+) in emerging markets with DFIs participation. You are very good relations with relevant multi- and bilateral DFIs such as IFC, EIB, KfW, IDB or the World Bank – ideally complemented by contacts with European export credit agencies (e.g. Euler Hermes, UFK). You have sound knowledge about DFI-specific financing instruments and their application in complex project financing. You also have strong analytical skills, convincing negotiation skills and professional relationship management experience. You work entrepreneurial, self-motivated and find yourself confident in a dynamic, international environment. You communicate safely in German and English; Knowledge in French or Spanish is advantageous.
