The terms Circularity, Circular Economy, Sustainability Management, Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility (CR), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and ESG are not empty word sleeves with us, but are filled with life. In the field of corporate responsibility, we focus on materials and circulatory skills. Our goal is to develop strategies and solutions for the extensive use of sustainable materials in the Otto Group – in particular in the fields of textiles, furniture and packaging. We also rely on different circularity approaches. Many speak of “Homeoffice” – we of “hybrid or mobile work”: You can work remotely up to 50% of your monthly working hours. Our teams, together with their leadership, decide how to balance out local time and mobile work.

With us, you shape the further development of the material and circularity theme within the CR strategy. As part of the team, you work on various projects, such as Optimization processes in waste management as well as sustainable products, materials and packaging as well as circularity projects. You work independently in the daily business and in the project work. You will get deep insights into the area of sustainable materials, their protection and engagement. You gain experience in working with internal and external stakeholders and are actively involved in these appointments. This gives you an insight into the structures of a large company. You will gain insights into other areas of sustainability management at the Otto Group. Must-have: You are a registered student in the field of environmental sciences, BWL, sustainability management or in a comparable degree course (min. 3rd semester) or you are in your Gap-Year between Bachelor and Master. You have already gained first work experience through internships or the like. The topics of Sustainability, Circular Economy, Packaging and Sustainable Products are inspiring. You like to work in the team and independently, are committed and think analytic and strategic. You are characterized by organisational skills, self-initiative and accuracy and have a good number understanding. You are versed in dealing with the MS Office Suite and are not afraid to handle data. Of course, you use AI tools for tasks and processes in your field. You can ideally support us for 6 months from August 2026. Please give us your prefered period. Your language level: German C1 and English B2. You can also be available for longer than 6 months?
