Topic of thesis: Development and optimization of a drive and automation solution for precise positioning tasks of a knife control in the filtration technology of a food manufacturer What is it about: Servo drives are an essential part of modern automation processes and enable highly dynamic, precise and energy-efficient movement processes. Particularly in areas such as packaging technology, robotics or industrial production, exact positioning and optimized control quality play a decisive role. In this final work, you will explore an innovative approach to improving an existing positioning task using modern servo drive technology. The aim is to develop a technically and energetically optimized solution for knife control within filtration technology in our production environment - including analysis, conception, implementation and evaluation.

Analysis of the existing drive system Definition of positioning task with optimization approaches Concept creation for transformation to a servomotor drive system Design of the drive system with the aid of the manufacturer Implementation of the drive system in a stand-alone automation environment Validation of the drive system and performance of the user acceptance test Definition of interfaces and transfer for implementation in a PLS

Study of electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable courses Knowledge of drive technology, automation technology and industrial BUS systems Programming skills in the Siemens TIA Portal (IEC 61131-3 of advantage) Basic knowledge of speed-changeable drives Self-employed and structured work
