We take responsibility for long-term supplier strategies, competitive prices for the components of our vehicles and the contractual safeguarding of the delivery of our works. Your personal contribution brings forward the cost-effectiveness of our vehicles and the availability of parts in the plants. You have the responsibility for a varied shopping area and represent our purchasing requirements in cross-departmental bodies and projects You take on operational purchasing responsibility for powertrain sizes and global coordination of purchasing activities You develop supplier strategies and implement them in coordination with development and supply chain management, taking into account global procurement opportunities You will get new offers, analyze them and select suppliers by price, quality, logistics and technical features You prepare negotiations and conduct them, also in English You start standard and individual contracts in cooperation with our legal department You opt for material costs in cooperation with development and other areas of expertise You develop purchasing standards, processes and systems You will be thoroughly involved: on-the-job and with professional training along with other new buyers in the global Daimler Truck/Bus world
