With expertise, conviction and a strong team culture, we are committed to a climate-neutral world and sustainable use of ecological resources and are looking for a PTX mobility in Cottbus (w/m/d) – Full-time or part-time, EG 13 (TVöD Bund) On behalf of the Federal Government, the competence centre “PtX Lab Lausitz” was founded in 2021 by the ZUG gGmbH. The ZUG is a non-profit federal company with around 1,000 employees at the locations Berlin, Bonn and Cottbus. The PtX Lab Lausitz supports policy, business, society and science on the path to greenhouse gas neutrality by coupling the electricity sector with transport and industrial sectors (PtX). The PtX Lab Lausitz acts as a knowledge platform, impulse provider and contact person for industry, politics and science. The focus of the work is the introduction of an environmentally sound production and use of PtX products. The area “PtX Mobility” focuses on the energy transition in the transport sector, in particular in air and maritime transport. You analyze political and regulatory frameworks as well as current debates on climate protection measures in the mobility sector – with particular focus on international air and maritime transport. You actively contribute to the development of political instruments and market-promoting legal frameworks to speed up the use of PtX fuels in the field of mobility. You’ll create targeted contributions for publications, including scientific articles, policy letters and presentations. You build strategic networks and connect the PtX Lab Lausitz with relevant political actors from administration, parliaments, think tanks, civil society and business associations. You design and organize specialist events and accompany their implementation. You advise the BMWE as well as other political institutions at national, European and international level and support them in technical and strategic issues.

completed scientific university studies in political sciences or a comparable social science course or as a lawyer (first and second legal state exams or first legal state exams and Master of Laws) relevant professional experience in politics, policy advice or a think tank, ideally related to European legislation or IMO or ICAO ideally well-founded knowledge and professional experience in the policy area for air or sea transport Experience in writing scientific publications significant interest and understanding of technical, economic and political relationships in the context of climate protection pronounced ability to interdisciplinary work and thinking readiness for occasional missions, mainly within Germany and Europe
