With external sales of around 12.24 billion euros and around 76,000 employees (including self-employed retailers and nearly 3,400 trainees), the EDEKA Minden-Hannover is the largest sales of a total of seven regional companies in the cooperatively organized EDEKA association. At the closest possible time, we are looking for you as an employee of the staff unit Sustainability with the focus on the climate. You organize and are responsible for the accounting of the Corporate Carbon Footprint, the further development of our climate strategy, as well as the focus on climate issues within CSRD reporting.

The Sustainability Staff Office is an interface between the Management Board and the Business Units as well as a coordinator, driver, expert and communicator within the EDEKA Minden-Hannover. Create the company's sustainability agenda with us and support our business areas in implementation and implementation. In the further development and implementation of our sustainability strategy, you assume a responsible position and report directly to the Management Board in the team of the staff member. You take over the technical project management and calculation for the Corporate Carbon Footprint (Scope 1-3) and ensure a continuous improvement process. Our decarbonization strategy will continue to develop together with the disciplines and advise them in the development, prioritization and implementation of measures and projects to achieve the goals. You analyse and coordinate the implementation of the ESRS E1 climate change requirements within a CSRD-compliant sustainability reporting with the support of the related areas. In addition, you will have a look at the key figures with which the sustainability objectives of the EDEKA Minden-Hannover are pursued and generally support the development of the sustainability agenda.

A successfully completed study in a relevant field of expertise - for example in engineering, economics or environmental sciences or an interdisciplinary study focusing on sustainability or climate protection forms the basis of your profile. You have already been able to take advantage of the relevant professional experience in climate and sustainability management and ideally also experience in decarbonization (preferably from strategic work in the company and the management of company-wide projects). You have regulator skills: ESG and common standards/frameworks (e.g. CSRD, GHG-Protocol, SBTi). A strong enthusiasm for long-term issues related to climate strategy and sustainability as well as the motivation to attract people for these topics is what you are honoring. You have good knowledge of German and English, with German being your primary working language.
