StudiumPLUS – Training as a Mechatronics Technician and Bachelor of Engineering as of 01.09.2026 (m/f/d)

Education or studies? Both! With the sophisticated training-integrated degree program Mechatronics, you can acquire two professional qualifications at the same time in five years: a fully-fledged but shortened training as a mechatronic and a Bachelor of Engineering Mechatronics. You will complete the training from the first year at our location in Sternenfels. After you have successfully completed the first part of your training, you will begin your basic studies at the Pforzheim University. After that, you will complete your training with us, now you will follow the last semesters. During the program you will receive an attractive remuneration throughout (also for the time at the university). After five years, you know yourself well in theory and practice and already have first professional experience – an ideal starting point for your career as an engineer:in at SUSS. StudienPlus in detail: In the training you will learn the basics of mechanics and electrical engineering directly in our workshop. These include the assembly and disassembly of machine parts, measuring, testing, waiting and repairing of machines as well as the installation of controls and programming of complex systems. You can apply your knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering and computer science during assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the machines. The study complements the theoretical and scientific part and you learn how these disciplines (mechanics, electrical engineering and computer science) interact. You will deepen your knowledge in fields such as sensor technology, dynamics, control and control technology, signal processing and software engineering. In the lecture-free period, you continue your training at SUSS. You will have the opportunity to get to know the various specialist departments at this time and thus make the practical reference of your theoretical knowledge.
