Kubernetes Engineer - Operations (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Kubernetes Engineer - Operation (m/w/d) from now on and in full time at one of our BWI locations. The EMSU department, as a central organization unit within Central Operations, has the task of ensuring a demand-oriented and high quality of service operation processes. With process know-how, knowledge of the services operated and an offensive action, the department provides central services. With a new team, we take care of cloud applications. Under the hood of the container orchestration tool Kubernetes we support applications as well as solutions under Data Analytics.

2nd level for pCloud services based on Kubernetes, Docker Automated deployment of containerized applications by CI/CD Monitoring and optimization of the platform by the targeted use of logging, monitoring and tracing 2nd Level Operation of Solutions on a Data Analytics Platform Creation of release and deployment plans by ITIL Creation, installation, testing and implementation of software and configuration changes taking into account the existing IT infrastructure Processing of faults according to BWI specification (interception, error analysis, troubleshooting) Identification of risks, as well as security and security risks Participation in the development of training concepts and training of new colleagues Maintenance and further development of technical documentation

Complete study with focus on computer science or comparable training Good knowledge of Linux operating systems as well as in container technology Kubernetes (K8s) / Docker Additional identifiers in one or more of the following technologies: Git / GitLab / GitLab CI Deployments (terraform, cross plan, helmet) Databases (e.g.: MySQL, MariaDB, DB2, MongoDB, PostGreSQL) Java based applications Devops / GitOps Working Anxious CI/CD Apache Kafka

Experience in Deployment of Machine Learning Systems (MLOps) desirable High self-motivation and structured and solution-oriented operation, as well as pronounced team orientation Ability to cope with unknown DevOps environments and to keep a cool head in critical situations Interest in challenges to re-establish new technologies German and good knowledge of English
