With the Krematorien Baumschulenweg and Ruhleben, the Landesbetrieb Krematorium Berlin operates two important crematorium sites in the capital. The business is provided by Grün Berlin Service GmbH. With its modern plant and process technology, the Krematorium Baumschulenweg is one of the most modern crematoria in Europe. Together with the Ruhleben site, it forms a technically demanding infrastructure, whose reliable, safe and peeticidal operation is of high social importance. For the technical management of both crematorium sites, we are looking for an experienced and responsible personality that combines technical competence with organizational strength, leadership and a secure sense of special work environment. As a technical management, you take over the overriding responsibility for the safe, reliable, technical and economic operation of the Krematorien Baumschulenweg and Ruhleben. In doing so, you combine operational responsibility with the strategic development of the technical infrastructure.

Your tasks include: Technical overall responsibility for both crematorium sites Baumschulenweg and Ruhleben Ensuring trouble-free, safe and economical operation of technical installations and facilities Control, monitoring and continuous optimization of technical operations Planning, coordination and implementation of maintenance, maintenance and repair measures Further development and modernisation of technical installations and support for investment and renewal measures Planning, control and implementation of procurement procedures for technical services, maintenance, maintenance and investment measures, as well as technical assistance for procurement Coordination and professional management of technical staff at both locations Control and coordination of external specialist companies, maintenance companies and technical service providers Responsibility for compliance with all relevant legal, technical, occupational and safety-related requirements Analysis of technical disturbances and the development of sustainable solutions to ensure operational readiness Participation in budget planning, investment planning and resource management Monitoring of technical costs and economic use of available resources Regular reporting to the management of operating conditions, technical developments, disruptions, investment needs and costs Designing the future technical and organizational orientation of both crematorium sites Participation in readiness to ensure technical operation

Complete technical studies or completed vocational training in a technical or craft occupation, for example as a plant mechanic, industrial mechanic, or in a comparable profession, supplemented by a relevant further education, for example as an industrial master, cremation engineer*in or a comparable qualification Knowledge in operation, maintenance and maintenance of technically demanding and industrial plants Knowledge of procurement and procurement as well as dealing with procurement procedures desirable Experience in crematorium operation is advantageous, but no compelling requirement Experience in leadership and coordination of employees Impressive ability to analyze technical problems in a structured manner, make decisions and implement practical solutions Organisational strength and a high degree of self-responsibility Economic thinking and safe handling of budgets and resources German language and written knowledge (at least C1 level) Willingness to cross-site activities in Baumschulenweg and Ruhleben as well as to take on call readiness High reliability, sense of responsibility and communication A respectful and peeticidal approach to deceased and relatives as well as a professional approach to the special working environment of a crematorium
