For the strategic development of our communication landscape, we are looking for a Solution Architect in the area of Telephony / Voice over IP (VoIP). In this role you design a modern telephony and UC architecture for around 11,500 employees – with a special focus on Microsoft Teams Telephony, hybrid scenarios and future-oriented solutions incl. AI support. You combine strategic architectural work with concrete project support and implementation and establish sustainable standards for development, integration and operation.

Solution Architect Telefonie / VoIP (m/w/d)

The definition and development of corporate architecture principles for telephony and VoIP solutions (Cloud, On-Premise, hybrid) is your responsibility. You design and design a future-oriented telephony architecture and can prepare and present it accordingly, including Microsoft Teams Telefonie, SIP/PSTN integration, SBC and Provider architectures and Azure components. You actively participate in projects or guide them and deliver solutions to the company. The deployment process is optimized by you by using DevOps methods and automation (e.g. Git, CI/CD, IaC). With the methods of Requirement Engineering, you advise and support specialist areas, IT teams and operating units in architectural and implementation requests, and can present solutions to suit your needs. The evaluation and integration of new solutions and platforms in the telephony environment is one of your tasks. A secure and stable provision of the telephony solutions (security, compliance, operational safety) is designed and established by you. You develop concepts for central non-functional requirements such as scalability & performance (QoS), availability & resilience, security & compliance, observability & monitoring. AI-based functions in the telephony environment (e.g. speech/intent detection, intelligent routing or assistance functions) are evaluated and integrated by you. You work closely with platform, business and development teams as well as external partners.

You have a completed study of (economic) informatics, natural sciences or comparable qualifications. In addition, you will bring experience in the area of telephony / VoIP / Unified Communications or strong architectural competence in the IT environment. You have knowledge of Microsoft Teams Telephony or the willingness to acquire them in a targeted manner. You are interested in designing modern, hybrid IT architectures (Cloud & On-Premise). Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), script/programming languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python) you could already collect. You have a good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, security, operation). The ability to analyse complex relationships and to translate them into sustainable solutions distinguishes you. Communication strength as well as joy in cooperation, advice and knowledge transfer are among your strengths. Enthusiasm for modern technologies, architectures and innovative developments (e.g. AI in the communication environment) complete your profile.

Salary: You receive a collectively regulated remuneration (compulsory contract for private insurance). In addition, you receive holiday and Christmas money as well as extensive social benefits - including an occupational pension scheme. In addition, a future-proof workplace awaits you.

Homeoffice: Depending on the location and arrangement with your leadership, you can choose between different home office models. At least two days are provided at the LVM campus. In addition to a fully-fledged technical equipment, you will receive a unique home office tray of 800 € gross.

Work-Life-Balance: Our flexible working time regulation with a 38-hour week and 30 holiday days allows you to adjust your working hours in consultation between 7 am and 8 pm. In this case, any overtime that has been completed is of course paid out or can alternatively be compensated for by leisure.
