Database Management is responsible for the database landscape of the data center of the German Pension Insurance (RZ DRV). Our Team Database Transition is responsible for planning and designing the Oracle database landscape for all pension insurance companies. As a central part of the IT architecture, we play an important role in enabling the smooth processing of pension and rehabilitation processes. As a Senior Oracle Administrator* in the Database Management area, you play a central role in developing our Oracle database platform. You actively shape the database architecture and sustainability of one of the largest IT systems in the public sector in Germany. With your experience and expertise you design and develop the target architecture of our Oracle database platform and drive their strategic development forward Technical standards for performance, scalability and safety are defined by you and continuously developed Your responsibility also includes planning migrations and modernising our Oracle database landscape You act as an internal consultant for neighbouring development and infrastructure teams in architectural issues and support the implementation of sustainable solutions As an experienced knowledge provider, you are actively working on strategic, long-term architectural decisions with You will be happy to give your knowledge to the team and contribute to the professional development of the area

You have a completed academic degree (diploma, master or similar degree) preferably in the field of IT, or an equivalent qualification due to proven equivalent skills and experience Multiannual, relevant experience in the operation and/or design of Oracle database systems Knowledge and many years of experience in the design and development of database architectures or platform design in complex IT environments Good knowledge in the areas of high availability, performance optimization and scaling of database systems Experience with Oracle Exadata or comparable Engineered Systems is beneficial Good knowledge about Linux-based systems and ideally experience with automation tools (for example, Ansible) Interested in topics such as IT security, data encryption and compliance Reliable knowledge of relevant IT security standards (for example BSI basic protection, ISO27001) You have a structured, analytical way of working, as well as ability to understand complex facts
