The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Vorpommern offers differentiated offers for people with mental disabilities as part of the integration aid. In the context of child and youth assistance, we operate a day nursery with an external forest kindergarten group. Furthermore, our family center offers various low-swelling offers for special target groups in the district. The help for education complements the offer in Grimmen and Barth. The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a member of the General Association of the German Parity Welfare Association and in the respective national associations of the Paritäter e.V.

For our SOS Children's Village Vorpommern we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, part-time (34 to 36 hours/Where)

In our seven training groups in Grimmen, together with a multi-professional team of ten colleagues, you will accompany up to seven adult people with mental and multiple impairment. In living rooms and familiar surroundings, you support the residents in everyday life and promote their social participation – with the aim of sustainably strengthening self-employment and self-responsibility. Individual assistance and everyday support: You take care of their own services, mainly in the afternoon and the early evening hours, and together with the residents create a structured, fostering everyday life. Educational support: You are oriented towards individual assistance planning and promote the inhabitants in a targeted manner according to their abilities and their need for support. Design of social participation: You accompany leisure activities (mainly on a weekend) and cultural offers and promote social contacts with relatives and legal advisors. Participation and inclusion: You live a stance that allows co-determination, empowering to self-responsibility and respect professional proximity and distance. Documentation and shelter: You implement protection concepts responsibly and document care processes carefully.

You have completed training as a nurse or educatorin or medical teacherin or nursing caregiverin or nursing caregiverin. Ideally, you already have experience in the accompaniment of people with mental or multiple disabilities, especially with cognitive impairments – or you bring a high level of willingness to learn to work intensively in this field of activity. You meet people with a need for support with respect, openness and genuine interest – regardless of their origin, life history or their need for support. You bring the willingness to actively shape inclusive and person-centred work and understand assistance not as care, but as support for self- empowerment. You are ready to work both independently and in the team and appreciate collegial cooperation, joint reflection and continuous development. You are ready to take over predominantly services in the afternoon / in the early evening (including occasional willingness to call). The professional approach to proximity and distance is of course for you. A valid class B licence is required, as mobility is important in rural areas and for assistance.
