A 14 BBesO; E14 TV EntgO-DRV Activity We are the joint data center of the German Pension Insurance and other locations in Berlin and Würzburg. We stand for a safe and performant operation of the infrastructure, the fulfillment of the relevant legal standards, the feasibility of costs, for economic efficiency and IT consulting. Database Management is responsible for the database operation of the data centers of the German Pension Insurance. We are responsible for the planning, design and operation of the databases for all pension insurance companies.

You are responsible for building and developing our database architecture as well as all architectural topics for database systems supported by the data center of the DRV You define quality requirements for database landscapes, create appropriate IT security concepts and provide standards and technologies for the database architecture of the area To do this, create concepts for a future database architecture in close cooperation with the respective stakeholders, formulate appropriate database architecture targets, determine necessary individual architectural development steps, coordinate them and lead corresponding governance decisions You work in projects and specialist/working groups as well as in multi-disciplinary complex system developments and support the database strategy of the area You plan migration into future database architectures, ensure compliance with the requirements of the company architecture and make corresponding implementation decisions You develop standards and specifications for the provision and operation of the databases and relevant tools, among others, by creating the database architecture planning documents

Successfully completed academic studies (master or similar degree) preferably in the field of IT Long-term job-relevant professional experience in architecture and administration of at least one database system Detectional expert knowledge in database architecture including knowledge about current methods and current standards on design and implementation concepts of complex database infrastructures Very good knowledge in the field of BSI basic protection as well as deep and detailed knowledge about the practice of IT security as well as on the topics data encryption and automation Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in project management Ideally, you are already experiencing the operation of high-availability databases on Engineered Systems / EXADATA as well as experience with automation tools (for example Ansible and Gitlab) An analytical and initiative way of working, a high degree of creativity, as well as the ability to communicate even complex issues in a manner that is addressable, complete your profile
