The city centre coordinator / The city centre coordinator is part of the city centre and takes over both operational and strategic tasks. The aim of the Centre is to contribute to the strategic management of the “future city centre” programme, to advance measures and to prepare impulses from the city and to make a visible contribution to the transformation of Heilbronnn city centre together with economic promotion, city marketing and other partners.

As part of the Center of Competence, you will support the “Future Downtown” programme and help implement selected project modules, such as key and emergency measures. In doing so, you coordinate and accompany projects and measures to strengthen the city centre from the idea to the coordination with the specialist offices to the implementation on site. You are regularly visible in the city centre, actively seeking dialogue with actors and taking inspirations, ideas and challenges directly. You can communicate between administration and practice, bundle feedback and manage their processing together with the relevant specialist offices and partners. With practical impulses and sound assessments, you support decision-making and development processes and contribute current mood images from the urban area to the administration. You support the speech and activation of city centre actors for participation formats, work-rounds and events and help to understand and flow in both directions. In addition, you support the creation of information materials, reports and presentations and work in relevant exchange formats.

You have a degree in economics, economic geography, social and social sciences. Political sciences or a comparable discipline successfully completed. Ideally you have experience in urban development, city management, economic promotion or city marketing. You have skills in project management, work structured and keep track of complex processes. You have high communicative competence and enjoy networking. An open and winning appearance, moderation and negotiation skills, as well as organizational and verdictability are the key features. Engaged and independent work is of course for you. You provide time flexibility to be available outside the usual working hours for appointments in the city centre if necessary.
