In the field of Product Strategy & Planning, we are responsible for deriving the MAN product strategy based on various influencing factors and launching corresponding development projects. The aim is to ensure the profitability, international growth and sustainability of MAN. At the Munich Automation Center we are driving forward the development and piloting of solutions for automated and autonomous driving. We are working on testing new vehicle and technology concepts, supporting pilot applications in different fields of application and creating the conditions for a later transfer to sustainable mobility and transport solutions at MAN.

Your tasks Creation and further development of safety-relevant system and functional concepts for redundant autonomous base vehicles (ARBV)

Implementation of hazard and risk analyses (HARA) and derivation of safety goals and ASIL classifications

Creation of security architectures including redundancy, degradation and diagnostic concepts

Accompanying the development of functionally safe software and hardware modules according to ISO 26262 / SOTIF

Planning and evaluation of safety-relevant tests (SIL, HiL, vehicle) and approval recommendations

Coordination with internal and external partners in the fields of motion control, sensor technology/perception, motion planning and other relevant development areas

Your qualification

Complete studies in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science, mechatronics or comparable

Long-standing experience in Functional Safety according to ISO 26262 and SOTIF

Deep understanding of complex E/E architectures, redundancy paths and safety-critical functions

Experience in the environment of autonomous driving functions (ADS/ARBV) and safety-oriented actuators

Very good knowledge of HARA, FMEA, FTA as well as in the creation of safety cases

Communication strength, analytical thinking and a structured way of working complete your profile
