Computer Scientist Traffic Management Systems / IT Database Development (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the construction, operation and further development of the transport information and management database system (VIZneo) including the design, implementation and creation of the software architecture for new workflows and their software implementation You perform performance analyses and create concepts for IT security You will take over the technical project management for the development of a cooperative construction coordination and communication management (BauKoM) with the aim of maintaining the functionality of the traffic network of the state capital despite intensive construction activities in the transport infrastructure, as this will reduce the burden on bus and economic transport and on citizens You are responsible for the conceptual development of the Digital Traffic Flow Optimization (DVFO) system of the IVLZ You develop software modules for traffic control systems (ERZ) via the open source application “Database IVLZ protocol” The development of strategies for quality-assured data exchange of traffic and mobility data with external data platforms at national and federal level, as well as coordination and quality management in technical and conceptual cooperation with internal and external service providers are also part of your tasks

A completed study (Bachelor/Master/Diplom-Ing. [FH/TU/TH]) in the field of traffic informatics, traffic engineering, smart transportation systems or a comparable subject, such as computer science and/or Information and communication technology (for foreign financial statements, the presentation of recognition in Germany is required) Experience in various IT management tools, GIS systems and project management Secure handling of databases (including Oracle, MariaDB) and sound knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) Multiannual professional experience in the fields of transport information and management is desirable Independent, structured working methods as well as a pronounced analytical and conceptual thinking for creative problem solving Interdisciplinary cooperation with other offices of the city administration and external bodies, pleasure in work in the team and mastering the German language with very good communication skills and clear expressiveness in word and writing
