Specialist Engineer Planning for Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation Systems

Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,200 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as soon as possible Specialist engineer:in planning for heating in permanent employment at the Berlin site. You have expertise in heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, sanitary and electrical, measurement and control technology and are interested in the change in heat generation in Berlin. As the focus of your activity, you will focus on the project planning and implementation of projects as well as individual measures in the area of heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, sanitary, electrical, measurement and control technology, and take advantage of your experience in selecting and evaluating components according to technical and economic aspects. Your tasks Developing technical specifications, concepts, tender documents, technical reports and performance descriptions as well as conducting and accompanying tender processes for framework contracts and individual purchases Analyzing problems in the various areas as well as developing and implementing necessary steps for problem solving Self-working complex tasks taking into account new technologies and in cooperation with manufacturers or experts In your role, you take over the quality monitoring and acceptances, and conduct negotiations with suppliers

You have a successfully completed university degree in the field of building technology or a comparable degree. You bring a solid sense of business and have a quick understanding. You can communicate well and bring the necessary negotiation and enforcement skills if necessary. You've already gained expertise in a comparable position. You have practice-proven know-how in maintenance or new building projects. German language and writing (at least level C1) are absolutely necessary. You are safe to use the PC standard software and have optimal knowledge of the SAP modules. You work independently, but also supportively, so you get good results.
