Senior Global Innovation Manager (m/f/d)

In this role, you are responsible for global innovation initiatives from the identification of attractive growth areas to the successful market launch. A special focus of your role is on the development of packaging and design solutions that combine consumer relevance, brand integrity and commercial success. Develop global innovation platforms and concepts for the strategic development of our brand and our portfolio. Evaluate opportunities for innovation in consumer relevance, strategic fit, brand potential and commercial attractiveness.

Developing Packaging & Design as a key innovation driverDeveloping differentiating packaging and design solutions that combine brand-quality, consumer experience and business impact. Translate consumer insights, cultural trends and brand strategy into relevant packaging, format and design concepts. Develop innovative packaging solutions taking into account materials, shapes, printing and finishing technologies as well as sustainability and production requirements.

Leading innovations end-to-end to commercialisationAbout the end-to-end responsibility for innovation projects – from opportunity identification, identification and concept development, validation and business case to successful international market launch. Ensure technical, operational and commercial feasibility together with the relevant functions. Tax Stage-Gate processes, timings, budgets and risks, and ensure successful implementation in the markets.

Develop business cases and create commercial impact developers sound business cases for innovation projects and create clear decision bases for investment and portfolio priority. Connect consumer insights, market potential, pricing, volume, sales, costs, margins and investments to resilient growth models. Translate innovation concepts into clear commercial recommendations and make sure that innovations support both brand strategy and growth targets.

Lead international stakeholders and convince senior managementlead complex, international and cross-functional project teams and bring together different interests of marketing, insights, design, procurement, products & quality, supply chain and international markets. Present and represent innovation strategies, packaging and design concepts, as well as business cases confidently from senior stakeholders to C levels. Take over budget responsibility and ensure a transparent project and performance reporting.

Successfully completed studies in business management, marketing, innovation management, product development & design or a comparable qualification. Multiannual international professional experience in innovation management, brand marketing, product development or packaging/design, ideally in the FMCG, consumer goods, or lifestyle environment. Embossed expertise in packaging innovation and design development – from consumer and brand insights to concept development and prototyping to industrial implementation. Understanding different packaging materials, printing and finishing technologies and a good sense of design, brand aesthetic and consumer experience. Experience in the development of business cases and a solid understanding of sales, cost, margin, investment and growth drivers. Designed strategic and analytical skills and the ability to translate insights and trends into concrete growth initiatives. Very strong presentation, communication and influencing capabilities as well as pronounced executive presence in exchange with senior stakeholders and C levels. High intercultural competence, negotiation security and sovereign appearance in international organisations. Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
