The SOS Children's Village Sauerland in Lüdenscheid supports children, young people and their families in difficult locations as youth supporters. The offer portfolio includes children's village families, differentiated care offers of various housing groups, cared for housing, outpatient flexible assistance, animal-assisted pedagogy, three public daycare centres, two of them with connected family center, as well as childcare projects.

The offer of the children's and youth groups is aimed at boys and girls from the primary school age, where a longer-term perspective is envisaged and can benefit from a targeted range of relationships and a social-pedagogical environment. The house of the group is located on the grounds of the SOS Children's Village Sauerland in Lüdenscheid in the district of Dickenberg and can accommodate up to 8 children. The team consists of 6 educational professionals. As an educational specialist, you will take care of up to 8 children and adolescents in a stationary children's and youth group together with your teammates. With your expertise and empathy, you promote the individual development of children and young people and work with the education and assistance planning. You organize a structured daily routine and contribute to the design of an active group life. A good cooperation with schools, doctors, therapists, other external assistance and support systems as well as the respective parents is maintained by you. You carry out the necessary documentation and reporting, support the management in the further development of the educational work and participate in professional, internal bodies of the institution. You are conscientiously implementing the protection of children and persons.

You have a degree as an educator or a curative nurse*in or a university degree of social education or educational sciences or a comparable educational qualification and provide as much professional experience as possible. You have the competence to integrate targeted promotion into everyday life. You show commitment to the further development of our pedagogical work with the representatives. You are team-ready and have an independent working method. You are willing to take over the occasionally occurring domestic activities. You appreciate the possibility of flexible working hours, including the takeover of night and weekend services. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
