Senior Product Manager Market and Pricing

Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,200 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as a senior at the next possible time Senior Product Manager:in Market and Prices in permanent employment at the Berlin site. As a (senior) product manager/in market and prices, you are independently responsible for the ongoing care and the strategic (further) development of price formation of products in conjunction with general market developments of the heat industry. You are also responsible for the periodic evaluation of market price and contract risks and active coordination with associations such as the AGFW. You work closely with the sales teams, the central corporate functions and external partners to ensure the implementation of legal requirements, corporate goals and other requirements. Your tasks Monitoring and adaptation of price change clauses for heat, waste heat and cold solutions in the B2B business Updating prices for periodic price adjustments based on current contracts for heat, waste heat and cold solutions Monitoring and further development of price systems, scenarios, components and adaptations for heat, waste heat and cold solutions taking into account regulatory, technical and economic conditions Periodic evaluation of sales risks and coordination with other disciplines. Performance of customer analyses, in particular segmentation, accounting and contract analyses with regard to price levels, components and other price-relevant contractual components Market and competitive analyses with special attention to energy prices and price-relevant contractual components for B2B customers in the heat and cold environment Active interface management through close communication and cooperation with various departments, affiliates and external partners (Perspective) active participation in interest groups in the (heat) energy market, such as AGFW, BDEW, etc. Creation of internal and external reports and presentations for management to convey the progress of the topics and projects

A completed further university or university degree (Master/Diplom) with technical, mathematical or economic background Enthusiasm and “Drive” to actively drive the energy transition Reliable professional experience in product management, preferably in the (heat) energy or regulatory environment Experience in federation work desirable Versatile analytical skills to interpret extensive quantitative and qualitative data and to derive recommendations for action You are looking for the challenges and drawing satisfaction from your own performance Structured, independent and result-oriented working methods Flexibility and openness Embossed written and verbal communication and presentation skills Safe handling of MS Office and database systems German knowledge on at least level C1 is essential.
