Your area: Service bundle IT factory In the IT Factory service bundle, we ensure the provision of basic services and infrastructure components in the NRW state administration and thus actively promote the digital transformation in the country. The Windows infrastructure team ensures the safe and highly available operation of Active Directory and DNS - as a central basis for many downstream applications in the state administration. We work closely with the application side as well as with neighbouring infrastructure areas.

Your main activity: You are responsible for the safe operation and the continuous development of the Active Directory landscape and the Windows server infrastructure. You plan and control system and security updates and ensure troubleshooting within 3rd level support. You develop efficient automation solutions for recurring processes and processes using PowerShell. You work closely with adjacent IT infrastructure teams (e.g. network, IT security, data center) as well as specialist and application managers. You are actively involved in cross-departmental IT projects for the modernisation, standardisation and sustainable orientation of the IT landscape. You ensure complete technical documentation and contribute significantly to quality assurance.

You bring with them: Graduate degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or in a degree course with IT reference As an alternative to studies: Completion as an operating professional or many years of relevant professional experience in IT Proven practice in the administration of Windows Server operating systems as well as the central Microsoft infrastructure services (especially Active Directory and DNS) Practical experience in creating scripts for process automation, especially using MS PowerShell Experience in the implementation of system and security updates as well as in the structured fault analysis and elimination in 3rd level support (ideally according to ITIL standards) Practical participation in complex IT transformation and standardization projects. Secure German (in Word and Writing) As Senior System Administrator / System Administrator (m/w/d) (E12), you will also have experience in the following areas: Funded technical advice from internal and external interfaces as well as specialist teams Safety in designing and documentation of technical specifications and future-oriented solutions

Also desirable are: Basic understanding of Linux-based operating systems Knowledge of other infrastructure technologies (e.g. PKI/CA, ADFS, Hyper-V, WSUS) Programming skills (e.g. C#, Python or Go) and understanding of REST APIs Your personality: Team spirit, open to dealing with changes Structured operation and pronounced communication capability Customer and service orientation Additional job information: If you have at least six months of relevant professional experience, the complete activity is transferred to the specific workplace and thus a grouping into the pay group 11 TV-L. In all other cases, you will be hired for the first half year in the 10 TV-L payment group. The grouping into the 12 TV-L payment group is carried out if you have at least three years of practical experience in this area. A successful safety review according to § 11 SÜG NRW is required for this position (is initiated within the framework of the recruitment process).
