For an established company from the art and culture industry in the heart of Berlin, we are looking for a senior accountant (full-time), who is not only able to handle figures but also thinks. Here it is not about pure routines - in demand is a hand-on-man who masters accounting from A to Z and still remains curious. Responsibility for the preparation of the half-year and annual accounts according to HGB with DATEV, including provisions and plant accounting. Financial accounting & payment transactions: Own booking of all current business transactions and settlement and monitoring of payment transactions, including personnel costs and credit card accounting. Optional: take over tasks in wage accounting. Business consultancy & reporting: Support for balance sheet issues as well as the development and development of an analytical reporting including BI solutions. Process Optimization & Digitization: Analysis and Development of Commercial Processes for Efficiency Enhancement, Cost Optimization and Promotion of Digital Solutions in Accounting. Taxation: Creation and timely delivery of sales tax declarations. KYC & Money Laundering Prevention: Participation in Identification Processes within the scope of legal KYC regulations (Know Your Customer) and money laundering prevention. Communication & Interface Management: Close cooperation with internal departments and external partners.

A completed commercial training with further education on the financial or accounting book holder*in or an economic study with a focus on accounting/controlling Multiannual professional experience in financial accounting and sound knowledge in the HGB, ideally experience with DATEV Secure handling of common accounting tools and MS Office - especially Excel; Interest in digital solutions and process optimization Analytical thinkability and a structured, independent way of working Knowledge in German tax law, especially in the production of sales tax pre-registrations Communication strength and joy in cooperation with various departments and external partners
