Smart connections! Metz Connect GmbH is an owner-operated company with 900 employees, which will soon be 50 years old. There are locations outside Germany in USA, France, Austria, China and Hungary. The company offers applications and products in building cabling, building automation, data center equipment and industrial automation. There are three business areas: 1) building cabling, 2) industrial equipment connection technology and 3) building automation / intelligent system components. Metz Connect also has a functional organization. Sales are around 120 million euros, tending to rise.

A new development manager is sought. The new job owner should give impetus, advance the professionalisation of his area with 45 employees and improve the innovation process. We are looking for the moderator, the entrepreneur, the idea provider; someone who knows that he can and must contribute to value creation. The company is moving – away from mechanics, electronics and software. It has succeeded in winning suitable and motivated employees in the substructure. In this situation, it is a matter of perceiving and developing the development sector in all facets, as well as maintaining close contact with the sales, product management, production, procurement and finance interfaces.

A suitable candidate or a suitable candidate has the necessary personal characteristics and the professional skills and knowledge, is a personality with character and charism. We contact professionals who have a technical degree, e.g. physics, electrical engineering, precision engineering or mechatronics have successfully completed good technical knowledge from previous tasks, ideally in electronics, as well as entrepreneurial and holistic, i.e. across-the-range and systematic thinking and acting.
