Training as a surveying technician in the Port of Hamburg Start 2026

We're doing port, this is our mission. You want to work with high-precision measuring technology and provide the basis for construction projects – right where Germany's largest seaport pulsates? Then we'll get survey engineer*in!

In your training you are in the middle of what is happening: You miss the port area, carry out location and altitude measurements and perform the data on the computer. You work with laser scanners, GNSS receivers, drones and CAD programs. You will create digital plans, models and cross-sections, accompany construction projects and ensure that everything fits exactly from planning to billing.

You can learn at different locations directly in the Port of Hamburg and get insights into the entire port infrastructure – whether bridges, locks, rails or roads. At the same time, you will become part of a team of 1900 colleagues who will keep the Hamburg port running around the clock. You have a good MSA degree and show strong performance in the MINT fans. Technology is particularly interested in the connection of precision, IT and practice. Spatial imagination and mathematical understanding will help you. You're physically fit and you want to work outside. Communication and teamwork are fun and you work reliably and responsibly.

Start on 01.09.2026 and training period of 3 years. Place of training: Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg. You will learn theory at the Berufsschule Bautechnik (BS08), Ladenbeker Furtweg 159, 21033 Hamburg. Remuneration according to TVAzubi-AVH with a training salary in the 1st year of training of about € 1,200 gross.
