Information Security Officer (m/w/d)

The Raw Materials and Chemical Industry (BG RCI) is part of the German social security system. We are a statutory accident insurance company and responsible for nationwide approx. 36,000 member companies with approximately 1.6 million people working. We advise and support our member companies on all issues relating to occupational health and safety. In the event of an accident or occupational disease, we help insured persons with comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation and thus contribute to the best possible reintegration into working life and life in the Community. For the KC IT control of the Information Technology (IT) department, we are looking for a representative (m/w/d) of information security at the Heidelberg or Bochum site at the next possible time.

advise the main management and staff of all organisational units on information security issues and monitoring information security in projects on a professional basis; to develop and, where appropriate, review security strategies in compliance with the BG RCI strategy; to control information security; to build, control, operate and continuously develop an information security management system (ISMS) according to BSI IT basic protection and to manage the IT security process of BG RCI including the support of the interface to the IT cooperation partners and to the IT service providers, coordinate, coordinate and monitor the creation and maintenance of information security concepts and guidelines according to BSI IT basic protection; to control the IT security coordinator professionally, to cooperate with the data protection officer, the emergency manager of the BG RCI and the internal audit of the BG RCI; and to represent the interests of BG RCI in IT cooperations.

a successfully completed academic degree (master or university diploma) of computer science or business informatics or a comparable qualification (qualification for the career of the higher non-technical administration service) and at least three years of professional practical experience, which is beneficial for the activity, preferably with coordination function in public administration, experience in introducing and managing an information security management system; well-founded knowledge of BSI's basic IT catalogues and all BSI standards, preferably with relevant certification (e.g. BSI IT-Grundschutz Interne or ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation), extensive knowledge of an IT basic protection tool for creating, managing and updating information security concepts, a responsible, planned, targeted and solution-oriented task a strong communication skills as well as a friendly and value-adding approach to the participants, even in difficult situations, practical knowledge of the enterprise IT operating environment, a highly innovative and conceptual way of working and the ability to design processes, the pronounced ability to identify and solve problems independently, management-ready processing of complex facts, willingness to expand knowledge and skills, the willingness to – occasionally also several days – service trips.
