The ATS Kaltenkirchen offers a wide range of support for children, young people and dependent adults. As a child and youth support institution in various areas, we work as a preventive, health-promoting and family-strength in the region.

In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated specialist for school social work at a primary school in Ellerau, which would like to help shape our preventive and health-promoting offer.

Your job:

As a school social worker, accompany and strengthen children in everyday school life. You work closely with teachers, parents and other professionals. Your tasks include:

• Advising parents, guardians and teachers on educational and social issues
• independent planning and execution of offers in individual and group settings
• Creative introduction of ideas, methods and projects in everyday school life
• Collaborative communication and cooperation with teachers, school management and team
• Participation in Supervisions as part of professional reflection and further development
• Empathic and responsible action also in challenging situations (e.g. on the subject of child welfare)
• Active exchange in the team and introduction of appropriate steps in crisis or conflict situations

• Complete study of social education or social work (Bachelor or Master – B.A. / M.A.) or a comparable qualification
