Civil Engineer as Project Engineer Major Projects at the Port Railway

You control and accompany complex large-scale railway infrastructure projects in the Port of Hamburg using modern project methods such as the Integrated Project Alliance (IPA). Together with the Project Implementation Teams (PIT), you coordinate technical and scheduled topics across all project phases – from execution planning to commissioning. You actively promote partnership and transparent cooperation with alliance partners, contractors, authorities and internal departments. Together with the participants, you will check and optimise technical documentation and execution plans. You support timing, cost and quality control, risk management, and project-related cost control and reporting. Procurement procedures for planning, engineering, delivery and construction services You prepare and accompany them up to the award, including offer and follow-up examination. Market and technology trends in the railway sector keep you in mind and evaluate innovative solutions for use in the port railway.

You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, ideally in the field of construction, transport or railway, or you can prove an equivalent degree. In addition, you will ideally bring first experiences in project management or in the infrastructure environment. Your good technical understanding of railway equipment is yours. You have knowledge in procurement processes or cost controlling. A structured approach, solution orientation and a strong readiness for responsibility are your strengths.
