Research and development of innovative bioelectronic systems focusing on biodegradable (“transient”) electronics for medical applications Design and production of sustainable electrodes, sensors and electronic circuits using biocompatible and degradable materials Integration of new materials into functional devices using additive manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing Development and implementation of demanding test strategies (e.g. biocompatibility, biodegradation, accelerated aging) for preclinical validation Scientific participation and coordination in the research area “Short-Life Electronics” within the REC2 consortium Publication and presentation of research results in high-level journals and international conferences Active participation of the research strategy by recruiting third-party funds as well as participation in courses and promotion of young people

Complete university studies in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or a related field Complete PhD in the field of medical devices, bioelectronics, microproduction, sustainability science or a thematically close research field Very good English skills in word and writing Funded scientific understanding of the independent processing of complex research questions and interdisciplinary communication with international colleagues Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation, ideally in the clinical environment, as well as pronounced solution-oriented functioning First detectable experiences in the design, implementation and publication of research projects Practical expertise in design, manufacturing, integration and testing of portable sensor actuator systems Proven scientific interest in bioelectronic medicine, neuroprothetics, brain-machine interfaces and sustainable technologies Convinced on the whole line -
