In our Department of Internal Medicine I (Director: Professor Dr. Thomas Seufferlein) -Section for Interdisciplinary Pancreatology (Clinic for Internal Medicine I) we would like to see one or more of us at the next time Senior Consultant (m/w/d) The field of activity includes clinical and scientific tasks in the Interdisciplinary Pancreatology section with a focus on benign pancreatic diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine I. The section works closely with endoscopy and the visceral surgical partners and covers the entire spectrum of modern diagnostic and interventional endoscopy with us. 9000 endoscopic interventions carried out).

Clinical care of patients (w/m/d) with diseases of the pancreas – outpatient and stationary – focusing on acute and chronic pancreatitis, cystic pancreatic lesions and premalous changes. Preparation, organisation and active co-design of the interdisciplinary pancreatic board for benign pancreatic diseases. Training, implementation and co-operation of highly specialized endoscopic methods (e.g. EUS, ERCP, interventional endoscopy, drainage methods, stent techniques). Diagnostics, sampling (biopsies, cyst punctures) and participation in interdisciplinary therapy concepts. Participation in clinical research and translational projects (e.g. organoid models, biomaterial banks, innovative therapeutic approaches). Teaching and support for students (w/m/d) and young scientists.

Approbation and advanced training in internal medicine with a perspective on the subject-matter of internal medicine and focus on gastroenterology, or already specialist (w/m/d) for internal medicine and/or gastroenterology. Great interest in highly specialized pancreatology and in academic development. Ideally ambition or ongoing Clinican Scientist career with the integration of clinical activity and scientific research. Joy of teamwork, commitment, scientific curiosity and interdisciplinary work.
