About 34,000 emergency patients of all emergency levels are provided annually in our Central Emergency Care Centre (ZNA). As part of the #teamukj, you work in an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nursing professionals and emergency medical technicians – in the middle of the university maximum provider and with direct access to the highly specialized specialist clinics of the University Hospital Jena.

A diverse range of clinical acute and emergency medicine awaits you here: from structured erosion to targeted emergency diagnostics to direct therapy. At the same time, you will benefit from an exceptionally wide range of training, which allows you to gain insights into different disciplines and prepares you specifically for emergency medicine.

Our central emergency take-up is also involved in the medical occupation of the emergency medical service vehicle of the city of Jena and the rescue helicopter Christoph 70. If you would like to, you can expand your activity in the ZNA with practical experience in preclinical emergency.

These are your tasks:

• Supply of adult patients with acute and complex diseases of all levels of urgency
• Structured rock estimation, targeted emergency diagnostics and introduction of the required therapy
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with the specialist clinics and other professional groups of the University Hospital
• Activity in the 3-shift system with early, late and night services
• In case of interest: participation in the emergency medical service
• In case of interest: Rotation in other departments of the University Hospital

This is what we need:

• Approbation as a doctor (m/w/d) or already completed specialist training
• Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary clinical acute and emergency medicine
• Pleasure of a varied activity with high medical responsibility
• Empathy and pronounced communication skills in dealing with patients and their relatives
• Responsibility, decision-making and resilience – even in challenging situations
• Ready to work in the 3-shift system
• Very good German knowledge (at least C1 level)

• Interdisciplinary central emergency intake of a university maximum provider with around 34,000 emergency patients annually
• A highly qualified and motivated interprofessional team of doctors, nursing and functional staff and emergency medical staff
• 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Supervision by a fixed, emergency medical specialist team
• A particularly broad training with 24 months of internal medicine (stationary), 12 months of surgery, 6 months of neurology and 6 months of anesthesiology – cumulatively at least 24 months
• Figure of the training content for the additional designations “Clinical acute and emergency medicine” and “emergency medicine”

• 12 protected training days per year
